The problem with new years is that they are NOT abritrary. There is a calendar of events, not indefinite time. 2024 is coming like dreaded school after the night, and there will be a presidential election. We could all work together and not elect Donald Trump, but unfortunately, like with your book, the reach of this newsletter is not total.
You could worry about November's outcome, or you could spend that time baking some cookies for people in your office. There will be multitudes of hurricanes, earthquakes and probably also laughter at videos of chipmunks who just stole a sandwich, and new babies that look like potatoes, and sales on items you've wanted all year. The good and bad don't balance or necessarily equal out, even over time, but they don't have to - we just need to be distracted enough to get to the the next beautiful sunset.....every single day. (hang in there David!)
