Holy cramped quarters, Gotham City!
It’s cold and there’s no space! But inside it is warm and dry.
Thank you for sticking with me. I have immense admiration for your tenacity.
WRITING:
Just this new post on Medium. It is heartwarming. Read it, if you need it.
I expect Mutha Magazine will print the short piece they accepted about New Year’s Eve traditions this coming week sometime!
RANDOM FINAL THOUGHT:
An overwhelming number of old Christmas shows center around some character who didn’t believe in Santa who suddenly believes in Santa. Santa is usually a main character in these old shows. (There are no new ones like this. New ones are about finding the spirit of Christmas or just about some lonely widower who goes to a small town and finds love in a hardware store.) I was wondering why belief in Santa was so important fifty or more years ago.
It occurred to me that Santa was a way for parents to give their kids presents when they really could not afford them, without the kid getting whiny and begging for more. Santa rewards good behavior—but also you get what you get.
