First off I want to thank the friends and family who have been present for me and my family this past week (and always, through all the hells on earth)…
Also here is a Lithuanian bonfire for your amusement - because gargantuan fires give me great pleasure, especially if they are accompanied by clever songs and skits.
Writing news:
Hello Cleveland! (that was for you, Mac!)
I want to thank Walls of Books Parma and The Reading Room Cleveland for a full house of book lovers and to each of my fellow readers for being such good sports. It was amazing to read in a bookstore and even more amazing to fall into so many hugs when it was over.

In other writing news, I haven’t been writing. But I think this may change soon. The Lithuanian camp gave me a much-needed reason to write humor and parody and that reminded me that I actually enjoy the process of creation.
It may be time to get back to it.
Random Final Thought
Isn’t it weird that the word “trust” is an active verb (“I trust him”) while its opposite “mistrust” isn’t? (“I hold or harbor mistrust for him”)
What’s that about? Is trusting something you do by choice, while mistrusting is a result of something that happens?
